Cancer

Many times people ask what herbal remedies are suggested for Cancer. First, let me remind you that I am an herbal consultant. I am not a medical doctor and you should consult your physician when considering adding any herbal remedies to the current medical regime you have selected. There are many different kinds of cancers that cause different problems and often there is no cure but just relief from the symptoms. I don't have an herbal cure to rid people of cancer. If I did have the cure all cancer drug I would be rich and everyone would be cancer free. I don't have a magical cure either - I wish I did.
I can tell you that attitude is the most important part of your treatment that I can recommend. Personally, I have many medical conditions and my attitude, my herbal self help, and visualization has already given me six years of a pretty active life, past the year the doctors predicted I would be dead. Sleep, a good restful sleep, is also very important. You must be involved with your cancer treatment and figure out what is best for your body. Find a doctor who will work with you and always review how medicines and treatments effect you. Be stubborn and active in your fight against any illness.
We all have cancer cells in us and the reason that they turn themselves on and become cancer is unknown but I believe it have to do with the toxitities. No matter what kind of cancer it is, I would suggest a good diet for your body with herbs that will help your system flow freely, herbs that will aid the immune system, and herbs that have a cleansing effect riding the body of wastes. I believe if an herbal remedy will address the problem that the herbs should be used instead of the manufactured prescriptions. I also strongly state that herbs may not be powerful enough. When your condition requires prescription medication you should take it. Always tell your doctor what herbal and over the counter medicines you take. Everything you put into your body will effect you overall so be sure to look at the whole picture including your normal eating habits.
TUMORS: Lapacho: Tabeuia/Bignoniaceae bark is believed to inhibit tumor
growth cells by starving them of oxygen. Medical research in Brazil continues the tests
and have found that it contains: Lapachenole, quinones, lapachol, indoles, alkaloids,
bioflavonoids, carnosol, coenzyme Q and steriodal saponins. Burdock also has
antitumor action but the exact reason is still under research.
ESSIAC Tea ~ Native Cancer Cure ~ Native Tea: This is a Native American formula
consisting of Sheep's Sorrel, Burdock, Slippery Elm, and Chinese rhubarb. This herb
combination is detoxifying and is a mild laxative. Burdock seeds and the root should both
be used in this tea mixture. Slippery Elm is very nutritious and soothes digestive systems
while being a mild laxative. Chinese Rhubarb if used in a large amount in the tea will be
laxative yet if only a small portion is used it will be binding but in either case will
lessen stomach and intestinal cramps from either problem. ESSIAC Tea should be made per
person and it's ingredients adjusted to fit the person's needs. If drinking the tea is not
to your liking the dose can be taken as a strong 'shot' followed by a glass of water.
PAIN: There are many herbs that offer pain relief for specific areas.
CONSTIPATION: Senna can be purchased in a tablet form over the counter, being mild
enough to be used often. Chinese Rhubarb in larger doses is a laxative but control
diarrhea in small doses. Licorice root is a pleasant tasting laxative. Other herbs like
Crampbark, dandelion, linseed, butternut, yellow dock and slippery elm are common herbal
laxatives. For immediate use - go the the oldest standard, caster oil. (HINT - either
mix with a citrus fruit juice like orange juice, pineapple or grapefruit juice or have a
glass of juice to drink right after the castor oil.)
