Basically, Ayurveic Medicine includes healing all aspects of the mind, body, and spirit. Healing includes the use of standard medical treatment of symptoms until the real issue is resolved and corrected through use of visualization, meditation, Yoga/T'ai Chi, diet, and herbs. It is a whole approach to a cure, not just treating the individual symptoms like regular medical doctors tend to do.
If you have any health problems be sure that you are going to a licensed Ayurvedic medical doctor. Use of herbs and drastic diet changes can seriously harm you or even kill you. Be sure to check credentials and speak to patients personally for a referral.
