How drugs prohibit meditation? Physical and mental effects. Self-hypnosis and meditation. Discussion of what you expect to achieve. Discussion of current medical conditions.

Physical being - connecting and disconnecting from the physical. Learning to breath for meditation; clearing/cleansing breath, relaxing breath, and long life breathing. Letting your body and mind know it is time to begin a meditation session, a discussion of ceremonies of meditation. Understanding how aroma, audio, visual, physical posture, chanting, and breathing effect meditation.

Learning to focus. Visual and olfactory sense connectivity and disconnection using exercises to focus the senses. Visualization with closed eyes and complete understanding exercise. Visualization and imagery in meditation.

WHAT TO WEAR & BRINGMeditaWear lose comfortable clothes. You will be removing your street shoes during meditation exercises but you may wish to wear booties of some sort. Please, no ticking watches, no pagers, beepers, or cell phone, clinking chains/jewelry, or perfumes as they are distracting. Bring a mat, rug, pillow, or blanket as you will be sitting/ laying on the floor; having a special item that you always use will help your mind set. If you are working with crystals or stones feel free to bring them or wear them. It is strongly recommended that you bring paper and pen for taking notes. No audio recording, video or photographs allowed.
